Joys of Spring

How do I describe the joys of spring?

I sit back and start to think,

The grey sky is gone and now it’s a pretty blue

I can hear birds chirping. Oh look! There’s a cuckoo

The scent of flowers as the white field disappeared

A fresh wind breezing, it’s a beautiful world.

I can talk about many joys it brings to all and one

But I’ll tell you how I know that spring has begun,

I see young lovers lying in the park

Watching the clouds racing as theirs eyes spark

I see children playing, running around and giggling

My heart so calm; it’s a wonderful feeling

I know its spring for I can see it in your eyes

I know its spring for I know I’m alive.
